What we do…
-
Terms and conditions/ rate card reviews
Where you provide goods or services to a customer and the amount they pay you is variable based on consumption levels we can verify the amount paid is complete and accurate and in accordance with your license agreement. These arrangements are typically self-reported and are often subject to error. Where you have a right to audit we often see significant financial correction following review of these arrangements.
-
Outsourced revenue arrangement reviews
In a time of increased industry consolidation and collaboration we often see companies working together to seek efficiencies and maximise revenue generation. Examples include outsourced advertising sales arrangements. These will typically have targets and minimum share requirements in place that are often self-reported. These should be tested periodically to confirm accuracy and embed a ‘policing-effect’.
-
Revenue share arrangement reviews
A media owner often requires a third party to distribute their media eg Cinemas distribute films on behalf of the producing Studios. The distributor will typically charge a commission or take a revenue share in lieu of their services. Where a right of audit exists we can review the books and records of the distributor to ensure the commissions invoiced to the media owner are accurate.
-
Royalty audits
Royalties are a common means of remuneration to a licensed seller of products and services on behalf of a producer. Royalty calculations can be complex and prone to error. We can analyse a licensee's compliance with its obligations as set out in your license agreement.
-
Affiliate audits
Where brands advertise on your platform (eg in a physical publication or on-line) they will sometimes pay a commission based on the sales activity generated from that sales campaign. We are able to assess the accuracy of the reported activity, monitor performance across your brands and ensure completeness of revenues being obtained.
